  2. In the Run box, copy the following path: ‘%localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data‘.
  3. Search for ‘Default’ and then ‘Extensions’ folder.
  4. Delete the folder named ‘ofikjbmmddegbnopggcggbhaolmbhifg ’and ‘bkbpfdkbpbckgkcelkfjjhepmdcdmahi’
  5. Go back to Google Chrome.
  6. Now go to Menu –> More Tools –> Extensions.
  7. Delete the extension named ‘FreeManualsIndex ‘.

The infected extension will be removed. Please note that the residue files might still be left behind in this method.
