As a mark in keeping up with their brand name and responsiveness to its customer, Microsoft Removed Google Chrome Installer App from its store Within Hours of Its Release.

In an announcement to The Verge, the Microsoft spokesperson clarified the decision to remove the app from the Microsoft Store. “We have removed the Google Chrome Installer App from Microsoft Store, as it violates our Microsoft Store policies," the spokesperson said, adding that apps should "provide unique and distinct value," and that Microsoft acknowledges “Google to build a Microsoft Store browser app compliant with our Microsoft Store policies."

This app was designed to crate largely to window 10 users, while browser apps on the Microsoft Store must use HTML and JavaScript engines provided by Windows 10 - a Windows 10 S restriction. Not a lot of Windows 10-based devices run Windows 10 S, giving Google less reason to develop a standalone app for the Microsoft Store. The moment this error was realized Microsoft took a quick precaution measure and remove this Installer from it Store.

The Verge feels that Google created this installer app to fight back the fake Chrome apps that were found in the Windows Store, a problem Microsoft has been struggling to address for years. Google’s workaround has now been removed from the Windows Store, so Windows 10 users will have to continue using Microsoft Edge to access the download site for Chrome if they want to access Google’s browser.
