See Why Your iPhone Freezes and What to do About it

When was the last time you checked your PC health? Do you know your PC requires a regular Check Up!!!

Feel like slamming your phone against the wall?

Here is why your iPhone freezes and what to do about it if you want to be more productive

You are in the middle of an important video chat and your phone suddenly freezes. You try to re-dial but your screen is unresponsive. You then quickly hard press the shutdown button but it takes forever to shut down.

The video chat was a job interview! By now you feel like crushing the little fella.

I would have long done the same until I educated myself about some of the reasons my phones would always misbehave.

Phones have feelings! Not like humans but as electronics. In the same way that our bodies need rest and care, so do phones. If you don’t care for your phone, it will slow down your work and make you angry and less productive.

Here are some ways to keep your phone working well.

  • Don’t use anti-viruses

Although many people think that their phones must have an anti-virus, Android phones can survive without an anti-virus and will work faster without one.

Anti-viruses scan every website you open every file, every document and just slow down everything making the phone to freeze.

Do this: Perform a factory wipe every 3 months. This way, you get to clear every virus, even those viruses that an anti-virus couldn’t capture.

But make sure you have a good back up in place before you carry out the factory wipe.

  • Don’t let your memory get full

Apps and games are the major reason your memory gets full. However, a small RAM usually found in old devices may also cause low memory because they are too small to store the latest apps.

Low memory freezes the phone so badly. It can even cause the phone not to shut down or to switch on.

iPhones can totally black out and refuse to switch on because of low memory.

Whenever my iPhone won’t turn on, I use software called iSkysoft Toolbox to switch it back on.

Do this: Stop auto app updates from the app store. You don't need to update every app on your phone especially if you don't use them.

To do this, go to the Google app store and cancel app updates.

Also, clear the cache memory every day. You can also format the phone once a year.

Don’t forget to delete games that you no longer play and apps that you don't need.

If you are an iPhone user and you have a backup, you can delete your data and only recover the data you need using an iPhone system recovery.

  • Keep your phone charged

A low battery freezes the phone and it will also reduce your phone battery's capability.

Never let your phone battery go up to zero before you charge it. And don't use your phone when it's on low battery. Both these things weaken your phone's battery.

Do this:  If the restart button hasn't frozen, you may restart but if your phone freezes entirely and not even the shutdown button responds hard press and forcefully shut it down.

Although it's not a good thing, you may also remove its battery as a way of switching it off.

Your last resort….

  • Sell your old phone & upgrade to a new one

The last resort you have is to sell your phone especially if it does the freezing thing repeatedly. I would rather sell my phone and upgrade to something better than to hang on to an annoying phone that makes me do the same thing 3 times more.

There are plenty of mobile phone recycling companies that give you cash for your old mobile phone the same day which makes your selling process a lot easier.
