With the current Malware, Russia hackers have managed to infect a large number of routers along with the storage devices. The Government of Russia has been planning this campaign since long. This software shares the same code used in previous malware attacks.

With the current Malware, Russia has managed to corrupt numerous routers along with the storage devices.

According to Cisco’s intelligence unit, the Government of Russia has been planning this campaign since long. This has been highlighted that this software shares the same code used in previous malware attacks.

This infection has been identified in 54 countries which clearly states that Ukraine is not the only target. In the meantime, on May 8th, Cisco confirmed that Russia is likely to go after Ukraine again based on a surge of infections.

Known by the name of VPNFIITER. It allows the hackers to access the infected PC remotely. Hence, allowing them to spy on the network, load malware, steal credentials and hereby launching an attack on other systems.
