At E3 conference, Gaming chief, Phil Spencer (Microsoft) didn’t spend much time narrating about the games. Instead, he allowed the games to demonstrate for themselves.

52 games were presented on stage by Microsoft; Gears 5, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 4 including the third party creations, Cyberpunk 2007 & Fallout 76. In less than 15 minutes, audiences of 6000 were jaw struck with the dazzling on-stage collection flagged by Spencer.

Initially, for some reasons(Kinect didn’t help & pricing) Microsoft fell behind the Sony’s PlayStation 4. But, what appears to be the reality, Microsoft lacks exclusivity in the titles to boost its all-new Xbox One X console.
Out loudly, Microsoft has shouted out to all the negative questions and feedbacks! Commitment to first-party games at Xbox E3 briefing came as one of the surprising announcements.
Also, the air was cleared for the acquisition of Unlead Labs (State of Decay makers), Ninja Theory (Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice), Playground Games (Forza Horizon developers) along with Compulsion Games (We Happy Few).
Alongside the creation of a newly founded Santa Monica-based studio, these developers will join Microsoft studios. Darrell Gallagher will lead the studio ‘The Initiative.’

At Tomb Raider Developer Crystal Dynamics, he has spent ten years. He is now joining the Microsoft Studios leadership team. At Square Enix - Crystal Dynamics parent company, he became the head of all Western Development; leaving the company in 2015.

Rest add to the original game list of Microsoft; already two of the major studios develop exclusive Xbox games for the company.
“What originally turned so many of us into Xbox fans are the exclusive games from our Microsoft Studios. My team and I take our commitment seriously. At Microsoft, the new teams will have a bigger, better and risk-free platform to take bigger risks and create bolder worlds”, quoted Phil Spencer.
This studio acquisition indicates lack of solid-first party games. But, also a more explicit message for the fans, Microsoft is not ready to give up on gaming. Already a world beyond Windows PC is embraced by Windows where they aim to reduce the consumer focus as well as trying to win back the developers.
Therefore, a lot of attention is already fetched by these moves about the future gaming commitments by Microsoft. This is how Spencer ended the E3 show.
