Microsoft Surface Go
In the modern life, it has become a necessity for most working professionals to keep their work with them even while travelling. This not only saves their time but also allows them to work at their own pace. However, the average 15.6-inch laptops are very difficult to use in a typical airline or a bus. Also, the heavyweight makes them difficult to carry. If we talk about tablets, they are having comparatively lower size and are great for reading, browsing, and doing other small stuff. But, they are not of much help for working.
That’s where Microsoft Surface Go can be a savior. Microsoft Surface Go is one of the lightest versions of the Microsoft’s Surface line and is the fourth attempt of Microsoft at a smaller version of its Surface tablet. It actually looks like the shrunken version of the Microsoft Surface Pro. Surface Go includes a dual-core seventh-generation processor that offers the perfect balance between performance, battery life, and other major aspects.

Features
- Built & Design
The Surface Go has a similar design to the Surface Pro; sleek, compact design optimized for productivity. It has a durable magnesium body, integrated with a signature kickstand that extends to 165 degrees providing more durability for your workflow.
The basic tablet part of the Surface Go measures 0.33 x 9.6 x 6.98 inches. It is very lightweight and weighs around 1.15 pounds only. Hence, it is extremely travel-friendly and can easily be used in cramped coach cabins.
At first glimpse, Surface Go simply appears that the Surface Pro has been shrunken down by 2.3 inches on the diagonal. However, Microsoft has clearly put great design effort into this version, targeting it directly towards a wider audience, especially students. It also offers a thin, fan-less design.
The Surface Go flaunts extreme softened edges and angles. The plain, angled edges of the Surface Pro has been transformed to softer edges that give this version of Microsoft Surface its own identity.
- Display
The Surface Go has a bright, sharp and stunning touchscreen with a custom-built high-resolution PixelSense Display. Touch, view and write on display with the Surface Pen which is sold separately.
The display measures 10 inches diagonally and has 1800 by 1200-pixel native resolution. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio display that lets you see more so you can do more. This is one area where Microsoft appears to have simply shrunk down the panel size and changed nothing much more. The color reproduction and sharpness are nearly identical to that of the Surface Pro, i.e., crisp and vibrant.
- Battery
Get battery life of up to 9 hours (video playback) with the 27-watt-hour battery.
- Camera
Surface Go includes two built-in HD cameras. Capture & share photos and memorable moments with 8.0MP rear-facing autofocus camera with 1080p HD video. Make crisp and clear video calls with a 5.0MP front-facing camera with 1080p Skype HD video.
- Connectivity
Enjoy hassle-free connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi. You can stay connected anywhere with optional LTE.2.
- Performance
Microsoft Surface Go seemed to handle lots of difficult and intense tasks with ease. So, rest assured that this fan-less tablet works well with not just educational apps, but with media streaming and some light gaming as well.
